5 Best Wellness Books to Read in 2017

Healthy living is so important for everyone! There is so much information out there on what diet you should eat, how to lose weight, how to have healthy skin, and how our kids should eat. That is why I wanted to compile a list of the 5 best wellness books to read!

5 Best Wellness Books to Read in 2017:

These are books that I have personally read, and considered to add tremendous value to my life. On my quest for living a healthier + simpler life these are books I keep close at hand, and I hope they do the same for you!

Eat Dirt: Why Leaky Gut May Be the Root Cause of Your Health Problems and 5 Surprising Steps to Cure It by Dr. Josh Axe

This book is a great overall wellness book. There is so much good information about what leaky gut is, and what some reasons could be for your health issues. Leaky gut causes a whole variety of issues, and Dr. Axe goes into the reasons why.

It not only goes over why people are having health issues due to leaky gut, but it also gives you immediate ways to start incorporating better habits into your life to help repair your gut and health.

He focuses on replenishing your good bacteria in your gut in a variety of different ways. It is a great read and will help you learn so much about natural living!

Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, and Find Your Path Back to Health by William Davis MD

This book goes over the detrimental effects that wheat has on the body. Davis goes into detail on what consuming wheat does to your body (especially those that have an intolerance/allergy/or celiac disease).

Since reading this book and eliminating wheat from my diet, I have realized that I have an intolerance to it. I have experienced all the benefits that he talks about with not consuming wheat in your diet.

I would highly suggest you read this book for the information it provides. You can then decide if you will eliminate wheat out of your life or just cut back on it. Either way he provides some great information about your health and the effects of wheat on it!

The Essential Life

This book is a great resource to have at your fingertips when it comes to essential oils. It not only is easy to use, but it also provides a lot of information about the benefits of each essential oil and different blends!

You will learn so much about how to help support your family using natural solutions, and it will help empower you to take control of your families health!

This book also covers ways to use essential oils in cooking, cleaning, blending, gardening, and for use on pets. It truly is a must have coffee table book for every family dedicated to eliminating toxins from their home and creating a healthy environment for their family!

9 Simple Ways to Sidestep Illness, Shed Excess Weight, and Help Your Body Fix Itself Effortless Healing by Dr. Mercola

In this book, Dr. Mercola goes over the 9 ways to become healthier and thinner. He stresses the fact that our bodies naturally will gravitate to “healing” itself given the right conditions.

The 9 steps are the conditions he goes over to create a healthier lifestyle for yourself and your family. He gives you some different ways to help support your body in healing itself that isn’t talked about too often.

This book gave me a new perspective on health, and different ways to improve my health on a daily basis!

 

 

Emotions & Essential Oils, 5th Edition: A Modern Resource for Healing

I included this book as one of my 5 best wellness books to read because one of the questions I get asked most about essential oils is how to use them to balance out emotions. This book is a great resource to have in order to see how powerful essential oils are in helping to balance out your emotions.

This book goes through the different essential oils that are available, and it discusses how they are linked to helping support certain emotions. It is a must read for families that are looking to use natural solutions in their homes.

I personally use this book as a reference quite often. I am amazed at how using essential oils to help support my family’s mood and emotions have changed the way we live!

    A great list. I’m going to add Eat Dirt to my list. I’m reading Obstacle is the Way right now as a way to better handle stress. Stress management is an overlooked piece of wellness. It’s one that I’m really trying to focus on as I face a great deal of daily stress as an autism Dad. ReplyCancel
