  1. I don’t have too much I can do with so many chronic illnesses and after three surgeries so it’s just putting walking on my list.

  3. I’ve added that book Failing Forward to my wish list.  This post was unexpected!  I thought I would read a bunch of tips about what you should and shouldn’t put in your daily care.  But this has brought a new perspective to my routines.  Thank you!

  4. I love the idea of “failing forward” – that’s such a positive way to look at it. 🙂 I try to view certain situations as learning experiences, but it’s not always easy.
    I think starting small is one of the biggest things I’ve learned when trying to adopt new healthy habits. It’s so tempting for me to want to do all the things and try to make adjustments here and there in every aspect of my life. But that’s not realistic; so I’m learning to start small and make adjustments when needed. 🙂

  5. These are excellent tips!  Starting small is so important.  When I try to make too many changes at once, I fail at all of them, but when I start with just 1 or 2 I have a much better chance at turning them into a lasting habit.

  6. I love your advice to start small! I think so many people are unsuccessful because they have big dreams that just aren’t attainable immediately! But if you start small and accomplish the little goals, you will be encouraged to strive for the bigger ones!
